GENE SNOW

"the Snowcapped Cowboy"

Touring with Tillman Franks in the early 90's Gene was taught a lot about the Hayride Era of Music from one of the legends.  Tillman managed David Houston, Johnny Horton and many more of the country music greats.  Tillmas was the manager of the Artists Bureau during the heyday of the Lousisiana Hayride.  Gene moved to Nashville and opened the show for Jim Ed Brown at the Jim Ed Brown Theater, hosted a Writer's Night at the Historic Printer's Ally and sang on the Grand Ole Opry.  Now back home in Texas he is living his lifelong passion through country music.  With the American Hayride Revue he is presenting music that made hayride history.  Released on April 30th, 2015, the American Hayride Revue Album features many of the songs you'll hear on stage at a live performance.  Watch for the show coming near you.  We'd love to see you there.

Allen Hurt, one of the Country Artists that stars on the American Hayride Revue is becoming a legend in the music industry with his "Rhinestone Suits", beautiful high-tenor voice and undeniable songwriting abilities.  Allen was raised in Nashville, TN by one of the Grand Ole Opry legends, Porter Wagoner.  Allen has fond memories of his childhood as he performed beside many of the stars in country music.  Recently, he toured for many years with the great Ray Price.  Allen and Ray were dear friends and before Ray left this earth he asked Allen to make him a promise.  Ray asked Allen to carry on the tradition of the country music that we have grown to love.  Allen made that promise to Ray.  You can still hear the country music that Ray would have wanted, when you attend one of Allen Hurt's shows.  We hope to see you at one of his personal venues, or perhaps at the American Hayride Revue.

Paula Reid

"from the Pen to the Pick"

Paula Reid, accomplished songwriter, vocalist and upright bass player, has been with Gene Snow throughout his career.  Gene gives Paula full credit for the launch of his music career.  She wrote songs that were designed for his vocal style and charisma.  Later in their career, Paula picked up the "Doghouse" Bass and became proficient with it.  You just might be able to catch Paula on stage at many of the American Hayride Revue performances.  Paula says she is retired...but musicians are kind of like fisherman...put a fishing pole in their hand and they can't resist.  By the way, Paula Reid is Gene Snow's sister.  There's only fourteen months difference in their age and they kind of act like twins.  Gene says she's a keeper.
